The tug CHALLENGER and her tow are inbound for Wilmington, North Carolina as they navigate the Cape Fear River Entrance Channel. A southerly gale is making up, and a heavy sea is making lifea bit difficult while the tug tries to shorten hawser and also stop the large barge from shearing off to port.
